Natsuki Wakasa — Asian Junior Girls U18 Champion!
It’s time to celebrate our Junior Regional Champs — starting today with Asia!
The Asian Junior Girls U18 riders showed fast progression and a growing presence on the international youth wave-sailing scene. Japan, in particular, continues to lead the region, with a new generation of girls riding with confidence, commitment, and a polished surf style that stands out in challenging conditions.
Natsuki Wakasa proved exceptional this year, displaying strong determination and consistency. Her surfing has improved at every world tour stop — she reads the waves incredibly well and keeps pushing her jumping level heat after heat.
Right behind her, Fumi Akita, also present in several world tour events, and Ayana Toda showcased the strength of Japan’s youth movement. Their dedication and progression reflect the bright future of Asian women’s wave sailing.
