Congratulations to Ryoma Sugi — 2025 Asian Wave Tour Junior Boys U18 Champion!
The Junior Boys U18 crew on the Asian Wave Tour put on a great show this season. The level jumped noticeably, and it really showed in Omaezaki — strong riding, clean airs, and a lot of heart from the entire fleet.
Ryoma Sugi was the one out front. At the Omaezaki, Japan tour stop, he won the U18 division, finished 4th in U21, and even took 9th in Pro Men — an impressive spread of results at a single event. He already owns the Junior U15 World Title from 2023 and did podium in Tenerife this year. He now sits 4th overall in the Junior U18 world rankings, and if he attends the Grand Final in Australia, he’ll be right in the fight for the Junior World Title.
Ryusei Kakegawa and Rui Ueta did a great job this season too, showing clear progression and helping build a strong U18 fleet on the regional Asian tour.
Big congratulations to the entire U18 group — a huge season for the next generation.
